Nina Folkersma
Nina Folkersma is an independent curator, art critic and consultant in the field of contemporary art. As a curator she has organized a wide range of exhibitions and projects, including in S.M.A.K. (Ghent), Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen (Rotterdam), Central Museum (Utrecht) and the Oude Kerk (Amsterdam). She also regularly writes for art magazines and exhibition catalogues. Characteristic of her practice is her interest in performance, interdisciplinary projects, female artists and surrealist legacies in contemporary art. For the past two years, Nina Folkersma has been director of Amsterdam Art, the organization that organizes the annual Amsterdam Art Week.
