Eleye Boerenkamps
| Eleye Boerenkamps (b. 1994, NL) gets across her private and social life in her works in both tender, humorous and harsh ways. She works from an awareness of impermence in her daily life and shares experiences of precarity, awkwardness and loss. Social and personal information about her relationships and herself are exposed in photos, videos or connected to objects and sculptures. The works can be read as contemplative social sculptures and monuments in which certain people, narratives and experiences are stored.
Eleye studied at De Ateliers in Amsterdam, the Radboud University Nijmegen and the Academy for Fine Arts in Tilburg. She currently lives and works in Amsterdam. |
