Kamilė Česnavičiūtė

Kamilė Česnavičiūtė (1996) is a painter from Vilnius, Lithuania, who graduated from Minerva Academy in Groningen. After graduation in 2019 she kicked off with group exhibitions and residencies, to name a couple – ‘Best of Graduates’ in Ron Mandos Gallery, ‘Midseason’ in Het Resort. In 2020 she was nominated and won the Sluijters prize for Dutch painting. While working in her studio she took part in several projects and group exhibitions. During lockdown she became co-manager and co-creator of Homescreen and later of Homezeen. In 2021 she received the Mondriaan Funds ‘Artist Start’ grant that resulted in a large group exhibition in ART Rotterdam. In 2022 she had her very first solo exhibition in gallery Block C, Groningen. She continues participating in projects and exhibitions. Kamilė lives in Groningen and works from studio HUL.
