Michele Bazzoli

Michele Bazzoli (b. 1996, IT) is an Amsterdam-based visual artist working with sculpture and installation.

After graduating from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, he earned a Master’s in Visual Arts & Ecology Futures at the Master Institute of Visual Cultures of ‘s-Hertogenbosch, NL. Investigating the relationship between human and nature within the anthropocentric vision of the Western world, his artistic research can be seen as an attempt to create an autonomous visual language with which to relate, explore, and question the current ecological breakdown and the environmental transformations of our present.

His sculptures and installations stage ambiguous and hybrid dimensions, where body and environment, human and non-human, as well as opposite forces such as growth and decay, are melting together.
