“I was trained as a visual artist at ArtEZ in Arnhem, but graduated with a collection of poetry, among other things. Writing was very important back then. In the years following my master’s degree in Ateliers Arnhem, I developed a hybrid practice as a freelance writer and curator. Among other things, I did major projects in museums and wrote for a lot of artists and institutions. In 2010 I became artistic director of Plaatmaken, a production house in Arnhem with graphic workshops, an exhibition space and a project office. I enjoy devising and executing artistic projects, and guiding and advising artists. In addition, my own poetry has been given more space and attention in recent years.”
