Ka-Tjun Hau

Ka-Tjun Hau (1990) is a curator and cultural practitioner based in Amsterdam. He is currently part of the Curatorial Research Fellowship at de Appel. In 2022 he joined de Appel Curatorial Program where he co-curated ‘super feelings’, a four-part exhibition in which each episode was activated with a live event by the artist and a multidisciplinary maker in the form of a performance, reading, or concert. Within his practice, Ka-Tjun is interested in the dynamics that shape collective consciousness, exploring the hidden threads that connect us to places, people, and stories.

Ka-Tjun has an educational background in fashion and media studies. He followed a traineeship at photography museum Foam and worked as a culture scout and subsidy advisor for the Amsterdam Fund for the Arts where he supported artists to realize projects and mediated relationships with local institutions and audiences.  Ka-Tjun was a photo editor for Hard//hoofd where he worked with photography talents and recent graduates. In the past years, he was also a program coordinator at We Are Public where he worked together with artists and cultural practitioners to experiment with public program formats.
